Comedian-actor Kapil Sharma’s The Great Indian Kapil Show is facing social media backlash after Sunil Grover, in his character Dafli, joked about Triptii Dimri’s intimate scenes with Ranbir Kapoor in Animal. Triptii became widely popular as Zoya, also called Bhabhi 2 by Ranbir’s cousins in the film. Upon release, Triptii received a mixed response for her performance.
In the latest episode, Sunil Grover, as Dafli, interacted with Triptii Dimri, who was the guest for the night, along with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 cast comprising Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan and Anees Bazmee. Sunil’s character is known to be a die-hard Ranbir fan on the show. Sunil, in character as Dafli, asked Triptii if she was the one who starred in Animal.
When she replied in the affirmative, he referred to their much-talked-about intimate scenes. Looking visibly embarrassed, Triptii replied that everybody was still fixated on that. Sunil then asked her if the scenes were limited to just reel and not real life. The Bulbbul actor maintained that nothing was real and it was all just a shoot.

They shared comments such as “The humour of this country has sadly degraded to this (sic)”, “Never seen such a pathetic topic or concept being used for a so-called comedy show. Running out of punches and everything (sic)”, “She’s clearly uncomfortable with that remark and would love to just move on. That sui atki hai comment was about this whole country. Let the woman breathe (sic).”.
